By booking a safari, trekking, or tour package with TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS Safaris, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.
1. Booking & Payment
1.1 Deposits and Final Payments
A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
The balance must be paid in full 60 days prior to the start of your safari.
If booking within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
1.2 Payment Methods & Currency
Payments must be made in US Dollars (USD).
Funds are securely held in our NBC bank account.
Clients are responsible for all bank charges related to the transaction.
1.3 Pricing and Exchange Rates
Quoted prices are based on current exchange rates and local operating costs.
TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS Safaris reserves the right to adjust prices before booking confirmation.
If the price increases by more than 10%, the client may cancel and receive a refund (excluding the deposit).
2. Cancellations & Changes
2.1 Client Cancellations
Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email accepted with confirmation of receipt). Fees apply as follows:
More than 60 days before tour: Deposit only
29–60 days before tour: 50% of total cost
15–28 days before tour: 75% of total cost
14 days or less: 100% of total cost
2.2 Itinerary Changes by Client
If you change your travel plans while abroad, TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS Safaris is not responsible for additional costs or complications. No refunds will be issued for unused services.
2.3 Changes by TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS
While our safaris are carefully planned, changes may occur due to local conditions or availability. We reserve the right to modify itineraries, accommodation, or transport. Any substitutions will be of comparable quality where possible.
3. Travel Responsibilities
3.1 Travel Documentation
Clients are responsible for obtaining valid passports, visas, vaccinations, and other required documents. TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS Safaris is not liable for costs incurred due to failure to meet these requirements.
3.2 Travel Insurance
All clients are required to have comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for adventure activities, emergency evacuation, and repatriation.
4. Safari Operations
4.1 Accommodation Substitutions
In rare cases where confirmed accommodation is unavailable, TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS Safaris will provide suitable alternatives of equal or higher standard.
4.2 Safari Vehicles & Breakdowns
We operate well-maintained vehicles. In case of major mechanical breakdowns, a rescue vehicle will be sent. Minor issues will be resolved on-site to minimize disruption.
4.3 Baggage & Belongings
TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS Safaris is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings, luggage, or valuables during your safari.
5. Risk & Liability
5.1 Acknowledgement of Risk
By booking with TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS Safaris, clients acknowledge the inherent risks of travel in remote areas and participation in adventurous activities. A waiver or disclaimer form may be required prior to certain activities.
5.2 Force Majeure
We are not liable for disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, including war, civil unrest, strikes, natural disasters, weather, pandemics, or government actions. In such cases, we will offer an alternative tour or refund (excluding the deposit), if available.
5.3 Flight Delays
For international and domestic flight delays, accommodation and meals are the responsibility of the airline. Additional transfer costs due to delays are the client’s responsibility and may be claimed from your insurance provider.
6. Traveling with Minors
Bookings for travelers under 18 years old are only accepted if the minor is accompanied by an adult who assumes full responsibility throughout the trip.
