Booking & Cancellation Policy

At TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS Safaris, we aim to make your booking process transparent and stress-free. Please read the following carefully before confirming your reservation.
1. Booking Policy
1.1 Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total tour cost is required to secure your booking.
Deposits confirm accommodation, permits, and services, and are therefore non-refundable.
1.2 Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid at least 60 days before the start of your safari/trek.
For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
1.3 Payment Methods
Payments must be made in US Dollars (USD).
All funds are securely held in our NBC bank account.
Clients are responsible for any bank or transfer charges.
1.4 Pricing
Prices are quoted based on current exchange rates and local operating costs.
TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS Safaris reserves the right to adjust prices prior to booking confirmation.
In cases where the price increases by more than 10%, clients may cancel and receive a full refund of payments made (excluding the deposit).
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1 Cancellations by Client
All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email is accepted with confirmation of receipt). Cancellation fees apply as follows:
More than 60 days before tour start: Deposit only
29–60 days before tour start: 50% of total tour cost
15–28 days before tour start: 75% of total tour cost
14 days or less before tour start: 100% of total tour cost
2.2 Cancellations by TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS Safaris
In rare cases where unforeseen circumstances (e.g., safety concerns, natural disasters, government restrictions) prevent the tour from operating:
We will offer an alternative tour or new dates.
If no alternative is acceptable, a refund will be issued (excluding the deposit).
2.3 No-Show Policy
Clients who fail to arrive for their safari/trek without prior notice will be charged 100% of the total cost.
3. Changes & Amendments
By the Client:
If clients request changes after confirmation, we will do our best to accommodate them. However, additional costs may apply. Unused services (accommodation, transport, meals, or activities) are non-refundable.By TEMBEA PEAKS & PLAINS:
While every effort is made to operate tours as planned, itineraries may change due to weather, local conditions, or availability. Any substitutions will be of equal or higher quality where possible.
4. Travel Insurance
All clients must have comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation, repatriation, and trip cancellation. Proof of insurance may be required before departure.
